Professional Parents was created by myself, Renee Veldman-Tentori, after my own experiences of struggling to balance family, work and a business.  In 2009, I was working part time, finishing a degree and growing a small business…all while also being mama to Sophia (now 4) and Isabella (now 2).   I was often asked “how do you do it all?” and certainly had days where I wondered the same.

After basing a final year university assignment on the concept of parents who balance business and family, I realised that it’s that the knowledge you aquire (via various resources) and the people you have around you make all the difference when trying to reach and maintain that elusive work life balance.

So Professional Parents was created to offer you just that.  I’ve now spent several years creating online and face-to-face opportunities for you to learn and network and am thrilled to have met so many inpiring parents contributing to our community, and made some great friends.

I’ve now completed my Bachelor of Business (double major marketing & tourism with distinction) through Open Universities Australia/Swinburne University.  Building on my experiences in business alongside more training, I now also hold a Cert IV in small Business Management.

I love my job working part time as the Business Development Manager for a great not for profit centre in North Brisbane supporting families: www.motherbabyhub.com.au

My marketing business, www.zestee.com.au specialises in social media training and I am a regular presenter at business events such as the Caboolture Business Enterprise Centre, North Lakes Chamber of Commerce & Industry, North Lakes Networking Group and the Better Business series offered by the Moreton Bay Regional Council.

I have also started a community to bring together those who, like me, are dual national Dutch Australians.

I’m proud of my beautiful family and my girls are used to modelling for mama – it’s them you see throughout this site.
